Join Our Fourth of July US Radical History Giveaway
Posted by Matt on Jun 4th 2019
This year we're celebrating the 4th of July by giving away tea towels honoring some of our favorite American radicals. Enter your email address in the widget below to join the contest!
It's that time of year again - where Americans of all stripes get ready to break out the grill, blast off some fireworks, and celebrate the middle of summertime and our country's separation from the British Empire.
The United States was far from perfect in the late 1700s, and it's still far from perfect today. But we here at Radical Tea Towel are inspired by the brave Americans who have always grabbed this country by the Constitution and tried to make those nice words about freedom, equality, and justice for all stand up for something.
It's this history - America's radical history - which motivated Luke, Tim, and Bea to expand Radical Tea Towel to the United States back in 2017, and which inspired me to join their radical family business earlier this year.
That's why this month in the run-up to the 4th of July, we're launching a giveaway campaign with a very special grand prize:
In honor of America's founding, we're giving away our new Radical US History Collection (value of $132) FOR FREE to one lucky person that signs up to our email list before the 4th of July.
The collection includes tea towels honoring Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, and the Washington Suffragettes, as well as lesser-known but no less legendary activists like Chicago's "Haymarket Eight" - heroes from a major turning point in that city's fiery working class politics of the late 19th century.
And there's more! As a second prize, we're also giving away three of our brand new second generation Maya Angelou designs (2nd prize) to one person each:
Finally, to commemorate the July birthday of one of America's foremost literary radicals, we're giving away one of our signature Henry David Thoreau designs as a third prize:
That's three different prizes - and a total of five ways to win!
(Thoreau was born on July 12, 1817 - in case you're wondering ;-))

Why you should sign up to our Radical History newsletter
We know you already get too much email, but we promise our newsletter is different.
In addition to learning about America's most inspiring campaigners for social change from the days of the pilgrims through to the civil rights movement and beyond, each week you'll also receive stories about epic tales in progressive history from around the world, curated by our team of radicals led by our resident historian Pete.
You'll also get periodic special offers as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of a radical e-commerce company from the rugged shores of South Wales.
So give our email list a chance, and in doing so, give yourself a chance to win one (or many!) of our radical tea towels this 4th of July.
While we can't promise everyone will be a winner, we can promise that we'll do our best to fill you with progressive energy and cool stories to help keep you inspired during these turbulent times.
Do we have a deal?
Good luck and Happy 4th!
